Hazelwood Children’s Home, Nottingham

The man, who is 63 years old, was arrested on suspicion of six offences relating to five victims. The offences are alleged to have happened in the early 1980s at the Nottingham Children’s Home (Hazelwood).
The arrest has come under a large scale police investigation by Nottinghamshire Constabulary into sexual abuse in children’s homes across Nottinghamshire, Operation Equinox.
Operation Equinox has been informed of more than 600 alleged offences. In March 2016 a former social worker, Andris Logins, was convicted of serious sexual offences against children at the former Beechwood Children’s Home and was imprisoned for 20 years.
